THE LAST WITCH is a documentary following the journey of east coast middle school students and their teacher, as they work to exonerate the last witch of the Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Witch trials happened during a time of war, right after a pandemic of smallpox, women's rights were few, and there were environmental impacts. The previous sentence could have been describing right now: war (Russia/Ukraine), just coming out of a pandemic (Covid), women's rights (Roe v Wade), and environmental impacts (global warming). What can we learn about this crazy historical event?
